AIRINA exists for mathematicians, statisticians, engineers, data scientists, and the kind of trainee who reads the paper before the session. There are three ways in.
Two-day to two-week programs in topological data analysis, interpretable ML, and the mathematical foundations of robust machine learning. Cohorts of twelve. Every program ends with a graded defense. Bilingual delivery. No trainee writes a check.
A bi-weekly reading group on topological data analysis, interpretable ML, and applied mathematics for African systems. One paper, two discussants, an hour of careful argument. Hybrid: in-person at the Cotonou office or by Zoom. First-timers welcome.
The institute is hiring researchers, trainees, and engineers — mathematicians, statisticians, or engineers interested in applied AI for African systems. Roles are described in plain language; if your background fits, write to us.
If you have a quick question — what programs run when, how a cohort works, whether your background fits — come to office hours. Tuesdays 14:00–16:00 WAT, walk-in at the Cotonou office or by Zoom. No appointment needed.
If office hours are not workable, the inbox below is read every weekday.
Questions about a specific training program, the next cohort, or how to register your interest: contact@airina.africa with the program name in the subject.
To get on the mailing list (papers and dates sent a week ahead): paperclub@airina.africa.
